Sinotruk is a Chinese heavy-duty truck manufacturer, established in 1956, and is considered the pioneer of China's heavy-duty truck industry. The company produced the first heavy-duty truck in China - the JN150 8-ton truck under the HUANGHE brand - in 1960. In 1983, Sinotruk successfully introduced the STEYR heavy-duty truck project from Austria, making it the first Chinese company to comprehensively introduce foreign heavy-duty truck manufacturing technology. In 2009, Sinotruk formed a strategic partnership with the German MAN Group, which held a 25%+1 stake in Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Limited. As a result, Sinotruk introduced 3 engine models (D20, D26, and D08), axles of medium-duty, and heavy-duty trucks, including relevant technologies of complete vehicles from MAN, providing a strong foundation for its long-term growth.
